In March 2016 I set out to the Gambia, officially the Islamic Republic of The Gambia, a small West African country surrounded by Senegal. Islam is the predominant religion, practiced by 90% of the country's population. I came in the quest of taking photographs and films to return home and tell their stories.
In Madina Salaam, translating to the village of peace, I bumped into the local school. I was taken in by the scouts and found myself documenting their daily routine the following days. After having received such a welcoming insight into their life I decided to capture their kindness in a way that I had never attempted before.
I asked each of them one question: What is your biggest dream?
